How to remake your bedroom
Your bedroom should be a retreat, a personal hideaway from the busy pace of the modern world. It should truly reflect your sense of style and taste. Here are a few ideas to keep in mind when decorating your bedroom.
Keep it simple
A bedroom should look and feel comfortable, comfy and tidy irrespective of what your taste is. That implies keeping your furniture to the fundamentals of only what you need. And if you have got a smaller room, don’t try and stuff a king sized be in there. You will be squeezing around things and that’ll get tiring quickly. So keep the scale of your space in mind as you get your bedroom furnishings. Try to keep it to a simple plan like your bed, a reading chair, a couple of nice tables, your dressers, a pair floor lamps and that’s’s about it. Try really disposing of the TV. I know..it’s impossible for some of you but listen, when I first tried that with the cell phonephone and PC I actually was ready to get a little sleep. You really should try it.
Use relaxing colors if feasible.
Instead of wild and bold primary colours, choose more soothing shades and neutral tones unless you actually have your heart set on making a statement. Hey it’s your bedroom and if you can get to sleep with purple walls then who am I to argue..? If you’d like to stay in a similar color range but would like to try and tone it down a little, then why not try something more like a soft lavender instead. You get the point.
Why not get some really nice bed linen
If you can afford it at all, do yourself a massive favor and invest in 300 or better thread count 100% sateen bed linen and a well made comforter You will snooze like you’re in a posh hotel in London, Berlin or Paris I am telling you. You will not have cause to regret it. Watch for sales online and make the leap. You’ll love your new bedding no doubt.
Try adding more textures
You could also try adding another engaging features thru your bedroom like silky or textured wall coverings. How about a more colorful area rug..? Maybe a brocade table cloth..?
Have a lot of Storage
You could try one of those really cool distressed wooden trunks to cover your extra blankets, pillows and bedding and other stuff out of site. Do not forget to have a good organization system in place in the closet so your clothes and shoes are neat also.
Windows and drapes
An organized approach to your windows will help you not only create a calm, quiet and dark place to get to sleep but will also even help add another element of loveliness too. Do not just stick anything up there, but have fun with color and texture here also, just as in the rest of your room. Keep in mind that more substantial draperies will help block out not only daylight but noise also. By www.best-in-bedding.com
